Proxies galore
these are a list of proxies that i have personally used, most of which my school has now blocked due to over use, though the https:// ones are ones they cant block because its secure...
proxies:
www.ninjaip.com
www.myspaceunblocker.org
www.unblocker.org
www.vtunnel.com(also https)
www.fsurf.com(also https)
www.meebo.com(also https:gets into msn and other such sites for instant messages)
www.phantomtoothpaste.com
www.stupidcensorship.com(also https)
www.securetunnel.com
www.navydog.com
and thats all i can think of off hand, but i know i have more, if anyones interested, just let me know, and i'll look up some of my older ones, these all worked rather well for me for the most part until they were blocked. i usually unchecked remove scripts so i could type things. and when using them to log into acounts on blocked sites, you usually have to hit refresh in order for it to work, because it will bring up a screen with blank user login info, like you hadn't typed anything, this is the screen you hit refresh on. well, there you go, enjoy :)

one benefit i'm finding with rss is that feeds to blocked sites aren't blocked (considering you can read them through virtually any site: yahoo, google, etc). can't login or interact, but at least you can keep updated on all your favorite news without the hassle of finding or worry of getting in trouble with proxies.

at the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, not that i care about sounding like one, but what is rss? im kinda new to some things, but not to others, alot of internet things i am new to though, because my mom banned me from using my home computer at the age of nine, so you can imagine...anyways, if you could, what is rss?

no problem man, i'll list some more when i find them...even if you type https://www.fsurf.com/ or the like of such "https" sites? those dont work either?
edit: ok, i have some more now:
www.theghoster.com
www.snowgraveyard.com
www.canadianstarship.com
i'll continue to list them as i remember them or find new ones :)
edit again: oh, and dont forget to delete your history, cookies and files, thats how alot of the admins in my school catch proxies, because people forget to do that. :)

readers digest version: it's a way for websites to provide content in xml format, which other sites can use to display in their own templates however they want to.

Yeah, thanks for the rss worm. Cool deal. When I get home, I gotta see if I can setup Thunderbird to accept them. I think there is a way if I am not mistaken.

i dont mean to change the subject too much, but i feel like im starting too many new threads, so im not going to make another for a while, which brings me to the question i was going to ask; does anyone know how to boost the signal of anything like the belkin wireless G usb network adapter? i need to boost its signal so i can get internet, the only ways i've heard of is to get an ethernet cabble and wrap it around a cell phone, or making a satalite out of a saladbowl with tinfoil and dangling the adapter over it...i'll make a new thread if i dont get replies. thanks :)

I did a Google search for proxies back around Aug last year, just from one Google search, I found around 76000 proxy sites! Many of them use the same html template, and claim they are "experimental" or some such crap.
It's good to have a listing of the most common proxies, so you know what to tell the firewall to block. Great use for proxies is to get around firewalls.
I have listing of ones I've looked at in a Notepad file. I havent looked at all 76000, of course, but it's a good size Notepad file. Anyone interested, I can email it to ya.
w00t!

http://forum.myriafx.com/viewtopic.php?t=619&highlight=
a guide for "hacking" at your school.
Also to attempt to get around blocked ip's:
1. First, do an nslookup on www.blockedsite.com to get the IP address of
the site -- xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
2. Next, convert each octet to an octal number using the windows calculator
-- yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy
3. Insert eight (8) leading zeros in the first and third octets and seven
(7) leading zeros in the second and fourth octets --
00000000yyy.0000000yyy.00000000yyy.0000000yyy
4. Type the modified octets into your browser's address bar and, viola!,
your are successfully bypassing the SurfControl filter.
- something I googled once.
EDIT: one could also try a cgi-proxy:
