just looking for ideas

I am obviosly new, however I'm wondering exactly how does one go about making your own tools? I unfortunatly haven't learned nearly enough code to create advanced programs yet, and my dos at home is so outdated that it doesn't have most of the main commands in it, such as cipher, it wont even allow for me to type "help" so, I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for finding out how to make my own tools, as my only internet access is from my school.

Tools for what, exactly? I'm sure there are people here that can help, but it would help us to help you if you were a little more specific.

oh right, sorry about that. well right now, my main focus is attempting to one, get past all of my schools security so i can use the net at my lesiure and not have to continuously come up with new proxies, and a plus would be cracking the admin...but anyways, mainly how i can make my own tools to accomplish such tasks, like packet sniffing, or slightly complex keyloggers, and a way to send them to the main computer...that kind of thing.
oh shoot, forgot to mention that its not really for an overly malicious purpose, its just that my school is way to tight about websites, they have even blocked several educational sites.

Proxies are the only real way to get past your school's security, short of obtaining the admin password and giving yourself permission to bypass it (probably nearly impossible, although it may be easier with some systems than others). If you had an internet connection at home, you could set up your own proxy server. Short of that, you pretty much just have to memorize the proxies, it's the best option for the vast majority of people.

As for making keyloggers and such that are more complicated than the one in the book (where I'm assuming you've found us from), you'll want to learn a programming language. Lower-level languages tend to be better for keyloggers (or so I'm told), but you can make one in just about any language...and that goes for most of the tools you mentioned.

I can't give you much more help than I have, except that you shouldn't ask the question "What language should I learn first", since it's been asked and addressed a LOT already on the board. Use the search feature to read what people have already said on the topic and save yourself the flames.

All that said...Welcome to ICV :-)

I think your only feasible option here is to google for any programs you need.

Unless you're an extremely fast and dedicated learner and want to spend long, long nights at your school, coding something up sounds impractical.

thanks for the advice, and i dont know if i did as what language i should use, but if i did, sorry, i didnt mean to as i figured the language doesn't matter, especially for me since i'm a beginer anyway. also, i cant find a way into the irc because mirc is blocked at my school, and if i search it on google, everythings blocked, so if any of you have any good irc sites, it would be cool if you let me know. thanks.

You didn't ask what language, it was a forewarning type of thing. As for IRC, if you can use firefox in your school, then you can probably use ChatZilla as an IRC client.
