i miss icv :(
recently i have been without an internet connection, and it has made me sad. actually...
well a few weeks ago i was trying to connect to icodeviruses.com and it took forever. Or 120.somelongnumber seconds, according to the counter at the bottom. since then it hasn't taken less than 80 seconds to connect. every other site i've been to on the intarwebs takes no more than 3 seconds, and with a proxy it took about 2 seconds to connect to icv.
i asked monkey about it on irc and he said it may be a problem with my isp's routing table, so i asked them (charter communications) with their online chat thing and they had no idea.
then one and a half weeks ago, my internet connection was shut off (parents thought we didn't need it. omfg). now i'm at a friends house, but i cant really just sit here for half an hour talking to you kind folks or doing whatever with his computer.
anyway, i just thought i'd let you all know that i am still alive and i do really like it here, so if i ever get my internet connection back (and fixed), you will see me here regularly. also, i just thought you should know that i am very sad because of all this. and bored as hell. haha, i asked my parents to give me my internet back for christmas, but it doesn't look like they will :*(
well, see you all again in a few weeks (hopefully)

show your parents something interesting on the net, something they can get into. so they will realize that they need the net!!!!!!

well technically they don't **need** the net.. but zuwiki's parents are freaks. =P
I don't know how old you are, zuwiki, but given the average age of icv users, there's a good chance you're a high school student. It's obvious and you probably have already tried this, but give them all the academic / career benefits of having fast and convenient access to the net. Tell them you don't want to have to go to the library or stay late at school just to do some research for a paper or look for a part-time job, etc.
