IP reseting

Hey guys, i might sound noobish but wtf, i got ip banned from some places i would still to be part of, so i was just wondering is there is any way to reseting your ip so its history is reset or changing your ip with out contacting admin/provider

Depends on your ISP.

You *may* be able to get a new IP by restarting your computer (or Start->Run->"cmd" and then "ipconfig /release" and then "ipconfig /renew")

If that doesn't work (then you probably have a static IP so) try changing your MAC address in your NIC properties by clicking Configure (and then from there, it depends on your drivers). After that, you may have to do some extra steps with a router and/or re-registering with your ISP depending on your setup.

If you have a router and broadband, then you *may* be able to change the MAC address of the router and/or outside IP, but in general that's not very likely.

The easiest way to get back to those places from whence you were banned is to use a public proxy server though that'll affect your page transfer rate when surfing around.
