RADIO VIRUS - season two/VIDEO

Now taking topic requests for the next season of Radio Virus and videos (such as MacGyverisms).

Want to know about a particular technology and how it works? Interested in the latest technology news and tech-law? Are there any particular guests you'd like us to have on the show? Let our crack team of researchers sow the fields of information and present it to you.

This is your chance to tell us what you want to see and hear in our next round of productions. Things we will be covering: hacks, security, technology, tech news, movies, tech business/political topics.

Things we definitely won't be covering: how to steal your girlfriend's AOL password, how to steal your boyfriend's AOL password, how to defraud people using computers, ways to put yourself in prison.

Anything else is fair game. Lay it on us.

I have a few suggestions for possible show topics:

1)Linux Vs Windows. Topics can range from pro's and con's of each, all the way to security, stability, and compatibility issues...etc, etc.

2)Linux distributions. Explore some of the 'security' oriented distributions like Knoppix-STD & Phlak. Or discuss some that you've used in the past or ones you like/dislike.

3)Social Engineering. Share some stories of your exploits from the past. Discuss different techniques, or even attempt to acquire a piece of information over the air from a mark. (Something of course that isn’t harmful to them and is perfectly legal.)

4)Brute Force Hacking. The philosophy behind it. How it works.... etc, etc.

5)Open Source vs Proprietary Software

6)Essential hacker literature for the aspiring 'student'

7)Search Engines. How they work, what do search engine spiders do when they crawl your site. How does the indexing work. Meta-tags. Google hacks. Why and how has google risen to such dominance.

8)The origin of the internet. Who controls it now. Domain registration, ISP providers and the puppet masters who pull the strings. Is the internet a beacon of freedom or Big Brothers wet dream?

Those are a few ideas I thought I would throw out there for you guys. I enjoy the radio show a lot and look forward to new episodes.

Some more ideas for shows:

1)Wireless Hacking: War driving tools, Encryption cracking & Packet sniffer

2)Spoofing: What is it and how does it work.

3)Anonymous surfing: Proxy Ip's and tracking internet users.

4)Trojan horses: The philosophy behind them, how they work and some of the most well known and not so well known ones.

5)Hacking Tools For Linux: Discuss some the essential hacker tools for Linux users.

6)File Sharing: What is the best way for users to share files over the internet. p2p, Torrents, FTP etc, etc. Debate which programs are best suited for the job.

7)The Hacker 'Underground': Debate whether or not it actually exists.

8)White Hat vs. Black Hat

9)Censorship Of The Internet: Discuss it's implications for freedom of speech and those countries which have adopted it's use. (China for one) How would ISP providers/countries go about censoring what users can and cannot see. Etc, Etc...

10)Kate Libby Vs. Dade Murphy: Who really won? ;)

How about about modern phone phreaking? I know a lot of the older stuff, but not much of it works for me anymore.
Also, is there any way to get *free* food out of those coil-type vending machines with the letter and number buttons? I have some long-due payback.

knoxville - go to the left of the screen, click "bandwidth" and then click "audio-video". worm, reno, and their friends create radio show type things that they call radio.virus - check them out, they're very fun to listen to. They even have like 2 video things up also, and those are cool as well (located in same section as radio virus)
