Sonner or later has come
Some of you may know i have extremely strict parents that don't let me do anything, including having internet in my room. So of course i rebelled and secretly bought a router and hid it and have been on IRC late at night and on the forums and all... anyway, my dad asked me out of the blue if ive ever tried to get internet in my room (knowing the rebellious me i am) and i said "yep" and he was like... "well do you have internet in your room?" an i was like "... uhh, yeah" and so... as it goes, it took away all my crap and now i dont have interent in my room... so, ill be missing the late night IRC chats and... sigh, i hate life. Anyway, just thought ide let you guys know. I'll be missing you guys! but that makes me wonder... hmm, a java app for IRC on my phone... hmm... ill get back with yall on this one.
EDIT: If any of you have any ideas or want to make me a java IRC app...

 So you'll still be around though, right? Just not late?
Are you not allowed to have internets in your room because you might access...uhm...unsavory materials?
If it's because your parents want to be able to monitor you, which I disagree with, but understand, maybe you could volunteer to have your access monitored? If you can set up a logging proxy or something like that (I could help with that..), so that they could monitor your network activity, would they let you have nets? What about if you logged all chats with people you had online (I could help with that too, if you'd like).
I'd hate to miss out on good conversations with a friendly character on ICV just because of some uptight parents. Of course, proxies are easy to get around, logs are easy to delete, and this doesn't really help with P2P stuff...but there must be some way you could get them to let you use the internet in your room.
I can't help you with the IRC client, unfortunately, you're on your own. But I think through a phone you'd have a difficult time keeping up with conversations....

 @techmonkey- I dont think I posted this is in introductions... And I cant change the thread title, not that i know of anyway. And i wrote this to let everyone that will miss me (lol) at night, where i am. And to maybe help the cause of my old foggy parents.
@amaranth- Yes, ill still be around, i just wont have net in my room, which means late at night, but ill be on all day weekdays, and maybe some weekends if i feel like getting on the PC in their room... and believe me, ive begged them for years, but my dad "doesn't want to put me in the place of temptation because theres too much crap on the net"... and i told him, i don't look at porn and im not a witch, im a computer geek that desperately needs internet late at night to learn and grow in knowledge. But my parents get gay like that sometimes, the hard part is just learning to not blow up and punch holes in the walls like i used to. but i have a plan... my dad left the router hooked up, he just "punished me" by making me unhook all my computers and put them against my wall... but if i really needed, i could hook one of them up at night, that is, unless they're not smart enough to turn the modem off. hmm..
And yea, i have requested to be monitored and all that crap (knowing it wouldn't really mean anything to me cause i can delete logs, use proxies, and bypass crap - and they know that, which doesn't really help and is probably one reason why they aren't interested)
So that being said... I think i can work something out, just give me some time, pretty soon (hopefully) i should have a laptop, maybe they'll stop being so gay(but i doubt it) or ill just wait until i move out... asap
Oh, and amaranth, i cant text on my phone almost just as fast as i can type on PC.
